''I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside Clare at Time and Space for nearly a year as part of my University course. My time spent with the organisation has been wonderful and I’ve learnt a lot along the way. I’ve been helping with day to day jobs such as feeding the horses, preparing them for trail rides and general yard duties whilst I’ve also been working on the promotional and marketing side. It’s been a very rewarding experience and one I would suggest to anyone who’s looking for horse experience, work experience or even life experience. Volunteering; especially abroad looks great on your CV and is always a good starting point if you’re looking for a job in the industry or indeed in any industry. It’s a beautiful part of the world to live and work, and I will certainly look back on my time in the mountains with fond memories''

''I did so much riding in the three weeks I spent here; exploring the wild, cactus-lined trails, cantering along the stretches of dirt road and climbing up rugged mountain tracks… and enjoying the magnificent views from the best place possible - horseback. I also got to help in the training of the youngsters, helping to desensitise them to things like having their feet and legs and handled and responding to light pressure. The best part though, was having my own project horse – Chocolate. He used to be known as a difficult horse by the locals, but since coming here, has come on leaps and bounds and I am privileged to have helped improve his schooling which was challenging at times, but lots of fun as he is such a cheeky character! It was a fascinating time, combining cultural insight with horses and fun… always a winning combination.''

''I really enjoyed the time I have been here and I've learned a lot too,  for example using a bit is not always necessary. Everybody is so nice and you feel at home. I'll probably come back next year , so I can enjoy this peaceful life again. Thank you for the experiences and maybe I'll get to meet you next year!''

"I travelled to Spain in the summer of 2013 to spend time with the family at Time and Space Horse Riding and what an amazing experience!

Clare keeps the horses in a herd environment which was the main reason that I wanted to visit as it has always been a wish of mine to see them kept like this. However, when I arrived there was so much more than just keeping them in a herd! Whilst there, I had a hand in many different things, including; feeding, watering, natural horsemanship methods, herding the horses, tack cleaning and, of course, riding! The scenery at Time and Space is truly stunning which makes for incredible riding! Furthermore, all of the horses are used to the terrain and the trust that you can place upon them is remarkable.

Whilst in Spain I would have to say that herding the horses was my favourite experience as I had never done anything like that before. As the horses all live on the mountain, it is sometimes required to bring them all in which can be done using the other horses. Trying to find them on the mountain was the first challenge and once this was accomplished, they had to be brought back to the yard. A sometimes difficult but exciting task!

The place itself is really great, as are the people! Clare was so welcoming and made me feel comfortable straight away! She is also so helpful and helped to further my knowledge and application of natural horsemanship! The boys - Jaccamo and Abe - were also really friendly which was amazing and again made me feel really comfortable.

It was such an incredible experience in Spain with both the people and the horses and I would recommend it to everyone! Thank you very much! X"
